The Webster Technique

What is the Webster Technique?

The Webster Technique is a safe, gentle, specific chiropractic adjustment that relaxes the pelvic structure and ligaments.  The Webster Technique is most highly credited for its success rate in turning a breech or transverse positioned baby, but is also an excellent method of relieving low back and hip pain.  A Webster-certified chiropractor assesses and corrects any misalignment in the pelvic and lumbar regions, thus allowing the ligaments and muscles supporting the uterus to relax.  Since these muscles and ligaments are attached to the pelvis, if out of alignment, twisting and tension can occur in the uterus making it difficult of the baby to assume proper positioning.  Once relaxed, the baby can more easily assume proper positioning thus facilitating labor and resulting in quicker delivery. The technique does not turn the baby itself, but simply helps to create a more balanced and relaxed environment thus promoting the best possible development and delivery.

All of our doctors are currently Webster-certified, including Dr. Susan QuigleyDr. Kayla Baldwin, Dr. Elizabeth Gingrey and Dr. Tiffany Egan.
