Nicole Duxbury

imgp4855Nicole received her diploma in Shiatsu Massage from CenterPoint Massage School. She has additional training in CranioSacral Therapy (CST), Swedish Massage, Reiki (Usui tradition) as well as Western herbalism and flower essence therapies. Nicole believes in the power of Shiatsu to assist the body’s own healing processes by holistically addressing the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of one’s health. While Shiatsu guides the session, Nicole weaves in Reiki, Swedish technique and CranioSacral holds according to symptoms present and the client’s preferences.

Nicole is concerned with individual as well as collective healing. She sees no separation between these. “We live in a constant dialectic with our environment: As I heal, my relationships heal. As my relationships heal, my community heals.” As much of our dis-ease is stored in our cells and cellular memory, Nicole sees bodywork as an integral player in our overall journey of healing. Her work is grounded in the belief that the body is its own best healer. Nicole works with all abilities, ages and genders. Because of Nicole’s openness and awareness of each person’s needs, you are guaranteed to get bodywork that is in tune with your unique needs.

Nicole is also a youth worker, community-based artist, and an agent for social transformation.  She is a member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) and the American Organization of Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA)
