Leslie Kenney – Shiatsu Massage Therapy

leslieLeslie has been practicing bodywork for 20 years! Her first degree in Oriental Bodywork (OBT, AOBTA) came in 1998 from the Minnesota Center for Shiatsu Study.

Leslie is certified in oriental body work, massage therapy and reflexology. Her sessions integrate her extensive training in CranialSacral Therapy, Healing Touch, hot stone massage, infant and pre/post-natal massage. She is also trained in hara diagnosis as well as tongue and pulse diagnostics. She has been practicing integrated body work since the early 1990’s and brings a variety of modalities together for a complete therapeutic and healing experience.

Leslie practiced at HCMC Alternative Medicine Clinic for 8 years as a shiatsu practitioner and massage therapist with a varied, complicated and diverse patient population.

In addition to body work Leslie has always incorporated nutrition work into her practice and for over 10 years has been studying a variety of nutrition and wellness modalities. These include kinesiology techniques: Neurolingual testing, NRT (Nutrition Response Testing) and QRA (Quantum Reflex Analysis). Leslie also received her degree as a Certified Nutritional Therapist (CNT) from the Nutritional Therapy Association in Olympia, WA. This degree combines well with her strong passion for real and traditional foods.

Leslie holds the understanding that all people are biochemical individuals and that using nutritional assessments – including muscle testing, neurolingual testing, palpation, and nutritional software – the practitioner allows the client’s body to tell her what their body needs. Learning to properly prepare fresh, whole, and nutrient dense foods as well as meal planning are included in each nutritional consultation.

Leslie now comes to share her skills with SuNu, drawn by the collaborative approach to wellness and hoping that her breadth of experience can add yet more tools and insights into what can help our clients reach their own personal health goals.

Leslie lives in South Minneapolis and is the mother of two healthy daughters.
