Welcome to Your Very Healthy Holiday!

For the next five weeks we will be on a journey together, into the depths of the holiday season. Our focus is on working the muscle of staying present for each moment and living into the joy the season brings.

Your guides are myself, Julia Starr, life and wellness coach, and Heather Feider, health coach. We certainly don’t have it all figured out, but hope that by committing to the work together, we will create the space for you to find your way into a holiday season of presence, joy and health.

Seeing the Vision and Setting Your Intention

Vision. Without vision we will struggle to manifest what we desire. Vision is the big picture. It includes where we have come from and where we want to go in the future. Take time to reflect on what has happened in your own life this past year, and in the last few months leading into December. Assess where you’re at currently mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Finally, create the vision you hold for the upcoming holiday season. How do you want to feel? What types of inner and outer experiences do you hope for? What is the best possible version of the upcoming holiday season?

Intention. Once you have the big picture vision firmly in view.. you’re ready to set your personal intention. Your personal intention supports the main theme of your vision. It is linked directly to how you personally want to show up in your vision. What attitude, emotion or perspective do you personally want to focus on as you move through December? This intention inspires the actions that will support your vision showing up fully in the world.

There are several ways to set your vision & intention...

Option 1: Sit for 5-10 minutes in silence in a peaceful space where you are able to feel relaxed and comfortable. Close your eyes and reflect on both your vision and intention.

Option 2: Use a journal or piece of paper to write a reflection that includes your vision and intention.

Option 3: Invite a friend to your home or a favorite cafe to have a conversation around your vision and intention for the season.

Tip: Create a ritual of reflecting on your vision and intention for the holiday season on a daily basis. This does not need to be time consuming! Decide what works best for you - a short meditation repeating your vision to yourself, a note placed strategically in a place that you will see it every day, or maybe a text message from a friend/accountability buddy reminding you at a certain time everyday to reflect on your intention.
