Graston technique
SuNu Wellness Center offers Graston Technique with Graston certified practitioner Dr. Cailin Shurson, DC.
Graston Technique® is a form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization. It enables clinicians to effectively address scar tissue, fascial restrictions and range of motion resulting in improved patient outcomes. The techniques are evidence-based and require specific training in order to be certified. Graston Technique is clinically proven to achieve faster and better outcomes for acute and chronic conditions such as Achilles Tendonitis, Carpal Tunnel, Adhesive Capsulitis, IT Band Syndrome, Lumbar Strain and Plantar Fasciitis.
The unique protocol uses specially designed stainless steel instruments, along with appropriate therapeutic exercise, to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. The instruments also are used diagnostically to follow the kinetic chain and locate and treat the cause of the symptom as well as the specific areas of pain. Graston Technique is also frequently used as an effective protocol to maintain range of motion.
